We have been meeting since the summer of 2008 just to get together and support each other in the idea of laughter leadership. Since that time ideas evolved and it took on a name... the Chicago Coalition of Chuckles. A non profit organization that can support and organize laughter leaders in a collaborative way that in the end helps promote more laughter to more people so that everyone gains from the bigger picture.
This year as the economy took a downturn it has shifted priorities for everyone. Help us make this organization a useful tool so that you can contribute to it's growth, your growth and take from it what you need.
That is the purpose of this survey, to find what it is that you might be able to contribute and what it is that you want to receive. It will also ask questions to discover best times and locations to meet, activites and events you may like to know more about or share with others.
Many thanks for taking the time to share your opinions!
CCC Meetings
Typically the Chicago Coalition of Chuckles now meets once a month or every other month. We share who we are and in what ways we use laughter, either personally or professionally. We share what's working and what's not and have brainstormed on some ideas that would be of value to the group. We have collaborated on events such as World Laughter Day and created the idea of coming up with events at different locations that would include a laughter session in a different way. We typically meet around lunch time and share a laughing meal discussing ideas. Asking questions of what might be of value to laughing leaders is our way of growing something that can benefit any who engage.
Meeting Time, Date and Location
We have met in a variety of locations and times though found that the weekends in the afternoon were best and have shifted from Saturday to Sunday to accomodate scheduling. We have met outdoors, in restaurants, and held many meetings in the Park Ridge Hysterical Society meeting space because it was central to many and free. We hosted pot luck lunches so the concept of sharing grew. We began traveling to Chicago locations this year to create laughing sessions for variety.
