Patricia Beard is vice president of community relations for WXOR – TV/13 Alive, San Antonio’s NBC affiliate.  In this position, she manages public service events and cause-related marketing campaigns for the station.  Patricia is executive producer of the Emmy Award-winning 13 Alive Community Service Awards, a program that annually honors outstanding volunteers, and the 13 Alive Holiday Can-a-thon, Georgia’s largest televised food-raising event.

Patricia is a multi-Emmy Award winner and bounder of Black Women Film Preservation Project.  She was named WXOR-TV’s first female vice president in 1982.  Likewise, she was featured in USA Today as an Ortho 21^st Century Woman, which designated her as one of the women who can lead America into the 21^st century.

Patricia received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spellman College and Georgia State University awarded her a master’s degree in education.  In 2000, she was awarded a Master of Arts degree in film and video from Georgia State University.
