What do you need help with?

How do I connected to WiFi?
  1. From your Home screen, go to 'Settings' > 'Wi-Fi'
  2. Turn on Wi-Fi. Your device will automatically search for available Wi-Fi networks.
  3. Tap the name of the Wi-Fi network that you want to join.
  4. Enter a password, if required.

After you join the network, you'll see  Checkmarknext to the network and Wi-Fi connected in the upper-left corner of your display.

How do I set up a new Apple ID from a browser. 
  1. Click here (Or type 'https://appleid.apple.com/account' in the browser).
  2. Follow the prompts and enter required information.
  3. After you enter your information, you're asked to verify your Apple ID by email. You must verify your Apple ID before you can begin using it.
How do I set up a new Apple ID on a new Apple device. 
  1. Open the App Store app and search for 'Ecolab Encompass'
  2. Tap 'Get' next to the item.
  3. When you're asked to sign in with an Apple ID, tap 'Create New Apple ID'.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions. When you're asked for payment information, choose 'None'.
  5. After you enter your information, you're asked to verify your Apple ID by email. You must verify your Apple ID before you can begin using it.

How do I find the Apple ID being used on a device?
  1. From your Home screen, go to 'Settings' > 'iTunes & App Store'
  2. If there is an Apple ID associated with the device, it will be listed at the top.
How do I remove the current Apple ID on a device?
  1. From your Home screen, go to 'Settings' > 'iTunes & App Store'
  2. Tap the Apple ID listed at the top
  3. Tap 'Sign Out' and enter the Apple ID password
Please note: you will need to have the password to remove the Apple ID.  If you do not know the Apple ID password, you may to click here reset your password.  If you cannot retreive the password, you will not be able to put a new Apple ID on this device.  If you encounter this issue with a customer device, we can typically swap out the device.
 
How do I change the date/time on a device?
  1. Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS on your device by going to 'Settings' > 'General' > 'Software Update'
  2. Turn on Automatic Date/Time by going to 'Settings' > 'General' > 'Date & Time' and selecting 'Set Automatically'. This automatically sets your date and time based on your time zone. If there’s an available time-zone update, your device lets you know.
  3. Check that your device shows the correct time zone in 'Settings' > 'General' > 'Date & Time' > 'Time Zone'

How do I restart or 'force restart' a device?
 
Restart
  1. Press and hold the Top (or Side) button until the slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.*
  3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Top (or Side) button again until you see the Apple logo.
Force Restart (use this if your device is not functioning properly, for any reason)
  • On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold both the Side and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
  • On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
 
 
How do I take a screenshot? 
  1. Press and hold the Top or Side button
  2. Immediately click the Home button, then release the Top or Side buttons.
  3. In iOS 11, a thumbnail of your screenshot appears in the lower-left corner of your device.
 
To find the screenshot you just took, along with ones you've taken before, go to Photos > Albums and tap Screenshots.
 
 
How do I change the language on a device?
  1. On the Home screen, tap Settings > 'General' > 'Language & Region' > 'iPhone Language'
  2. Select desired language from list
  3. An alert will ask you to confirm the new language

How do I recover a lost or stolen device?
 
Per Ecolab policy, an Internal User should Corporate IT if a device is permanently lost or stolen:1-800-826-9573
 
Additionally, if 'Find My iPhone' (a device setting) is enabled on the device, it may be possible to track it using the following instructions:
  1. Sign in to icloud.com/find on a Mac or PC, or use the Find My iPhone app on another iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  2. Open Find My iPhone, and select a device to view its location on a map. If the device is nearby, you can have it play a sound to help you or someone nearby find it.
  3. Turn on Lost Mode. Using Lost Mode, you can remotely lock your device with a passcode, display a custom message with your phone number on your missing device's Lock screen, and keep track of your device's location. If you added credit or debit cards to Apple Pay, the ability to make payments using Apple Pay on the device is suspended when you put your device in Lost Mode.
