Dear City Council Majority Leader Cumbo and Brooklyn Borough President Adams:
I respectfully urge you to protect Brooklyn Botanic Garden by opposing proposed changes to the land use zoning on the site of the former spice factory at 960 Franklin Avenue.
High-rise towers on this site will have a lasting negative impact on Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s greenhouses, conservatories, and nurseries, which provide plants to the entire Botanic Garden.
Please stand up for Brooklyn Botanic Garden, a world-renowned treasure whose plant collections have been serving the community and fostering generations of environmental stewards for over 100 years. Help us preserve this vital community asset.
