To Apply:

  • Complete the food vendor application below.
  • Upload at least one current photograph of your food and/or specialty beverage (3000 px wide or greater).
  • Mail a non-refundable $35 check, payable to Brooklyn Botanic Garden, to: Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Attn: Tara von Schmidt, 1000 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11225.

Additional Application Information:

  • Application does not guarantee acceptance.
  • Vendors must apply each year in order to be considered. Acceptance in prior years does not guarantee acceptance in future years.
  • Failure to meet application deadline may result in rejection of application.
  • The Vendor holds all necessary permits and insurance to conduct sales at BBG.

Terms of Agreement

Upon acceptance, BBG grants the Vendor use of space at the 2019 Chile Pepper Festival for the purpose of selling agreed-upon merchandise on designated BBG grounds.

BBG to Provide:

  • Upon request BBG will provide tables and chairs, with exact numbers to be arranged by August 14, 2019.
  • BBG will provide onsite garbage cans.

Vendor to Provide:

  • Vendor will be responsible for providing their own tent, with the size to be agreed upon, by August 14, 2019. Tents must be sturdy enough to withstand moderate wind and must be weighted down.
  • Vendor will supply all desired signage as well as table covers if needed.

Post-Event:

  • All inventory and sales must be fully documented and documentation must be shared with the Garden following the event.
  • In exchange for the use of the space, BBG will retain a 20% commission on all gross sales, to be paid by check no later than October 14, 2019.
