The Donovan Group is seeking a social media specialist to help our school district clients tell their stories and communicate more effectively. This individual should be a strong writer/editor, while also demonstrating an ability to create attention-grabbing graphics using Canva. This full-time position would allow you to work 100% remotely.
Core Responsibilities:
- Writing status updates and creating graphics for dozens of public schools and school districts across the country.
- Proofing and editing written content developed by our team of copywriters.
- Reviewing and refining social media graphics created by members of our graphic design team.
- Scheduling posts on behalf of clients, using SproutSocial, HootSuite, and similar platforms.
- Working directly with select clients to intake content requests and ensure they are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Using an established project management system and processes to communicate with fellow Donovan Group staff on a daily basis.
- Assisting with the marketing and advertising efforts of the firm.
Key Attributes:
- Extremely well organized and able to manage multiple projects at a time.
- High-level skills related to using Canva to create social media graphics.
- Competent writer and editor with an eye for detail.
- Interest in education communications, education policy, and helping school districts tell their stories and engage their stakeholders.
- Ability to remain on task and complete assignments and projects in a timely manner while working remotely.
- Existing knowledge or willingness to learn best practices in school communication.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, intensity, and a deep desire to work hard to accomplish goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited postsecondary institution
- In-depth knowledge of the Canva graphic design platform
- Professional writing and/or editing experience
- Submission of one writing sample and three social media graphic samples
- Submission of a resume
Salary Range: $48,000 to $53,000 per year
