Info on being a Classroom Representative:

Parent involvement is an important aspect of the Leila Day program. One of the ways that we invite you to participate is by becoming a Classroom Representative to the Leila Day Parent Committee. Leila Day depends on the Classroom Reps to keep the families in each classroom informed of the upcoming activities in the school and to help increase parent participation in these activities. A Classroom Representative and at least one alternate are selected from each classroom each year to serve on the Parent Committee. There is a Parent Liaison who serves on the Board to convey information between the Classroom Representatives and the Leila Day Board of Directors. Please consider taking this opportunity to play an important role in the Leila Day community.

The Classroom Representative has the following responsibilities:

communicate regularly with parents in your child’s classroom
attend parent committee meetings
encourage parent participation in school activities
spring fair planning and implementation
help to enhance the Leila Day community
