CMEA ELECTION DAY PD EVENT

This day will be a helpful follow up to last year's Election Day PD presentation by Scott Shuler and also extremely beneficial to teachers exploring the standards for the first time. You owe it to yourself and your students to be "IN THE KNOW!"

8:15am- Registration Opens

9:00-9:45- Rich Wells provides Orientation to the Nat'l Arts Standards.

9:45-11:45- Rich leads teachers in group work. "What do the standards look like in your classroom?" Teachers break out by strand and then share their findings.

11:45-12:45- Lunch (pre-purchase option available)

12:45-3:00- Breakout by strand (elementary general music, band, choir, orchestra, and music tech) for presentations related to your specific subject. Gain efficient and effective teaching strategies to use in your classroom, determine how existing curriculum documents connect to the standards, gather ideas to address all aspects of the new standards in your teaching, and more!

*So sorry, but a Music Theory only afternoon breakout session will no longer be offered.

A note for teachers who are paying with a school purchase order:

1. Each teacher needs to register separately.

2. At the end of your online registration, select "check" as your method of payment. You will then receive further instructions about mailing CMEA your Purchase Order.

3. If the Purchase Order is paying for several teachers, it only needs to be sent to CMEA once. List ALL teacher names that the PO is covering. Submit that list along with the PO.

4. Simply sending a PO number, unfortunately, will not be enough to have paid for your registration. You must send the actual PO.
