Players only pay for the time in attendance, rounded up to the nearest half hour.  Players can attend in any location at times and dates convenient to them. No reservations are necessary.

Please look on the website for information and directions before contacting us. Cancellation notices will be posted as "Wood Enrichment Services" on WGAL TV, and on WHTM TV in Harrisburg.

We have sites in churchs, retirement villages, and restaurants.  Food will be sold at all restaurants.  They are donating their establishment.  Please purchase food from them and clean up before you leave.  No outside food is allowed.

Enrolling in an hourly package gives membership rights to our club team.  Experienced players are expected to represent the club at tournaments throughout the chess season (September-March).  Our fall and winter banquets and the state championships should be attended by all members.    With the exception of a school team, no member should play for another scholastic club at any local, state or national tournament without approval.    Students should only have one USCF membership under one name.  Violation of this policy is cause for expulsion from the club without a refund plus additional penalities from the United States Chess Federation.

By registering on this site, parents give permission for Wood Enrichment Services to take photos of their child and publish them in any chess material.

Donations

Our chess activities are a great experience for all students to develop their thinking skills and learn life-long skills of dealing with the success and failure of competition.   By being exposed to players with similiar ability all over the United States, social skills become highly developed and students become very motivated learners.  It is important for those limited funds to have the same opportunity as others in the club.  Our scholarship program helps in many areas.  Consider donating.

$500 will completely support a family going to Nationals.
$300 will pay for two nights in a tournament hotel.
$150 will support the entire family for a club session of 15 hours.
$100 will pay all the tournament fees for one player for the National Championship.
$50 will pay for one player to attend Yoder's Swiss Tournament and Banquet.
$25 will pay for one player to attend a Quad tournament.
