Green Homes Category

Eligibility

Building owners, business owners, and design + construction professionals are all welcome to submit projects that built or unbuilt.

Companies/persons within San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties may submit work outside of our tri-county region, however projects will receive points from the judges for being local.

The Green Homes Category is intended for residential projects.

Past Green Awards winning projects will only be considered eligible if they have achieved a new/different certification (like Living Building Challenge or O&M, etc.) beyond what they earned when they submitted last time, and it must be submitted for a different category.

The format of submission is only this online application.

CCGBC will be compiling the project boards, all you need to do is give us the information!

We summarize and sythesize for the boards, and give those plus all of the data submitted to the judges.

The Green Home Award will be judged based on the following criteria:

1. Energy Efficiency and Renewables
2. Water Conservation
3. Sustainable Materials Use / Reuse
4. Indoor Air Quality Improvement
5. Waste Reduction / Diversion
6. Transportation Impact Reduction
7. Green Certification
8. Green Innovative Design

Entry Fees:

Registration September 9th @ 8pm - November 11th @ 11pm

CCGBC Members: $150 Per Entry + $75 per additional entry

Non-CCGBC Members: $250 Per Entry + $100 per additional entry

Green Awards & Gala : January 2020 in Santa Barbara. Location TBD.

Extra 18 X 24 Printed and mounted poster board of project. (We print one for display at the event, but this is then CCGBC's property. If you would like a board to keep, choose how many you would like here. $20 ea.
