PRP Step 2: Present & Trial/Demo

Conduct a Trial Audit – Follow these steps to prepare for and conduct a trial audit to establish a baseline (6 weeks prior to potential full Go-Live)

  • Define the success criteria for a PRP Trial with the Champion; determine if others should be included in this discussion to ensure success (Focus on Trial effectiveness, exclude best practices when discussing Trial as this is part of our full service value)
  • [COURTESY NOTIFICATION] Work with the Champion to share the Patient Room initiatives and general PRP trial with the Materials Manager. Otherwise, postpone the meeting with the Materials Manager until after both the trial is complete and an On-Site Champion is secured
  • If OxyCide is being implemented for OR as well as patient rooms, complete the OR implementation separately
  • To set up a new account for PRP, whether trialing or for full service, complete the EnCompass Setup Form and select 'Trial'. Once the form is submitted, an Apple device and supplies will be sent to your address for the customer to complete their own baseline with your help.  Use the EnCompass Device Setup Guide to ensure the device is setup correctly
  • Ensure the baseline is covers 5-10 rooms; less would not produce a proper sample size, while more would add unnecessary work
  • Reach out to EnCompassSupport@ecolab.com for any questions on the app or your RSM on the process
  • Make sure your champion and others have the opportunity to touch, feel, and use the products being used
Present the Baseline Results & the Patient Room Program – Follow these steps to begin gaining broader visibility & buy-in for PRP with your Baseline Results
  • Review the Goals & Guidelines to Present PRP to understand our internal process
  • Schedule a 30 min Planning Meeting with your RSM, Area Service Consultant, and CAM (if applicable). Marketing and Training can be optional attendees.
  • Prepare recommendations for the account with input from the team during the Planning Meeting
  • Customize the PRP Pitch Deck with your Baseline Results, Recommendations and knowledge of the Customer’s needs
  • Secure time with your Champion to review the DAZO Dashboard Demo, the PRP Pitch Deck. (Gauge the Champion’s response… be prepared to make adjustments to ensure they are willing to support a campaign for broader buy-in)
  • Prepare for potential questions from the audience, develop a list of Questions to Ask and put together a “Leave Behind” Packet of information

Present the PRP Pitch – Follow these steps to gain buy-in & close a Full Service Agreement directly or secure a trial

  • Schedule time with a broader audience of Key Decisions Makers (e.g., Quality, IT, IP, CNO, CMO, COO, EVS, etc.), with your Champion’s help, to present the PRP Customer Presentation
  • A standard Interactive PRP Customer Presentation can be used for initial, high-level conversations
  • Present your customized PRP Pitch Deck, remembering to tailor your deck and conversation to the needs identified in the baseline from the Trial Audit
  • Be prepared to demonstrate the Ecolab DAZO® Monitoring System and PRP requirements/benefits; be sure to include a review of the customer portal, app, and DAZO applicators
  • Push to close without a trial, if possible, after presentation. If customer still asks for a trial, ensure it lasts 4 weeks or less
